Established in 1987, China Medical Education Technology, with its original name “Medical Audio-visual Education”, is a formal academic journal of science and technology published domestically and internationally. The magazine is managed by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and organized by Xi’an Jiaotong University.

As the Journal of Society of Education Technology of Chinese Medical Association, China Medical Education Technology is the only magazine with regard to theoretical research and development application of modern education technology in medical field in China. Based on academic research of medical education technology, the magazine aims at promoting practice and exploration of academic research of medical education technology in medical education and teaching to improve the development of medical education technology and motivate modernization of medical education.

Major columns of the magazine include Theoretical Exploration and Practice, Resource Development and Application, Technology and Education, Hospital Informatization, Digital Medicine, Clinical Education, Basic Education and so on.

In recent years, the quality and influence of the magazine increases year after year. Its coverage contains not only medical schools and hospitals at all levels, but also normal schools as well as science and engineering colleges and universities.

The magazine engages Prof. Zhong Nanshan, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences as director of the academic board, Prof. He Kekang, Prof. Wang Zhuzhu, Prof. Xie Baizhi, Prof. Yan Jichang, Prof. Ding Xin, Prof. Li Jiahou and Prof. Ren Bojiang as members of the academic board of the magazine.

The magazine is published bimonthly, with its size 210mmx285mm. Domestic Unity Issue Number of the magazine is CN61-1317/G4, International Standard Serial Number is ISSN1004-5287, and Post Distributing Code is 52-118.
