As an academic periodical on woman and child health, Chinese Journal of Woman and Child Health Research introduces new progress on woman and child health both at home and abroad, new experience in preventing various diseases in woman and child, and new theory and new trend of experimental study in woman and child psychological behavior and health guidance, perinatal medicine, aristogenesis, and genetics with columns of experts forum, monographic study, clinical research, research on woman and child nutrition, health services for woman and child, prevention of birth defects, teaching research on woman and child health, and reviews. The journal is a national periodical published at latter part of a month (annual price of RMB 240) with ISSN of 1673－5293 and CN of 61－1448/R. Early in 2007 the journal has been awarded as the Key Magazine of China Technology (The Chinese Statistical Source Journal(s) of Science and Technology) and covered in China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Chinese Academic Journals (CD version). It is also the source journal of Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database (CAJCED) and Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD). Meanwhile, catalogue, abstract or full-text of the journal is collected in Guide to the Core Chinese Medical Periodical, Chinese Biological Medicine disc (CBMdisc) , Chinese Medical Current Contents, Title Database of Chinese Scientech Periodical, and two book retrieval journals of China Science and Technology Data Catalogue (Medicine and Health) and Chinese Medical Literature (Medicine and Drug Literature).
